Hey people, I need to reinstall windows 98, but it's not leting me.
I got into the bios and switched it to boot from cd rom first (instead of hd). But that didn't work. An error popped up before it booted all the way and said it couldn't read the I/O. Then I put the restoration cd in and searched for something there. I didn't find anything. I've done this before, but it is not working now. I have no idea what to do. My comp is freezing alot and it is moving SLOW. I have a broadband connection which is usually fast. The blue screen of death comes up all the time saying there is a fatal error with a VXD file. The message is usually different all the time. If anyone can help me please do. Thanks :shoot3:

You should be usin' the 98 bootdisk to start with but .vxd errors are associated with missin' files that don't install durin' the setup and these must be manually inserted (easy though to fix).
