Why would ya want to use an enterprise os for games? Unless ya mean hostin' them. :?:

I use it as a server. That's what it's for... If you want a normal desktop OS, just stick with XP.

    HI,

I was told that Windows Server 2003 is heaps better and rock
solid than Windows xp and that you can play games on it also.

    thanks.

    Well it isn't :)

From what I know, WinXP is currently the best OS for gaming and desktop apps in terms of performance and compatibility.

Ya can play games on it but they ain't a good as bein' played on XP (WinServer'03 wasn't designed with game playin' in mind) and stability isn't any different unless ya don't know how to properly setup a system in the first place, then no os will be stable.

I think the "2003" part makes people think this is the latest and greatest OS by MS, when it's just a server OS. The next generation MS operating system with genuine performance/compatibility improvements is called Longhorn and is due for release in 2005.

I played a few games on it fine, but its very finicky for benchmarking...

It is merely a stripped down XP.......stick with XP Pro for your gaming.
