Did you read the link I sent?
Click the pictures in the article. If you didn't choose to archive files, you can't uninstall.

    8) Well too bad for you dude!

But in fact you can`t uninstall xp Sp2 if it is the beta version. And you also can`t install the real Sp2 from microsoft over it. Microsoft tells you this. You should read before installing something.

The only thing left to do is fomatting your system an reinstall Win.

    Good luck. :!:

Yes it can be done and there are two ways:
    1. Add/Remove programs--make sure to put a check mark in 'Show Updates'
    2. Boot onto WinXP CD and go to Recovery Console. Sign in to it.
At the command prompt, type--or add as needed
    Windows\$NTServicePackUninstall$\SPunist\Batch Spuninst.txt
-this is slow as it is through a DOS version of the Uninstall, also(as noted), if you did not choose to achive files, you are out of luck.

    Default Re: Uninstalling WINXP SP2??

Hi checked your posts on the sp2 issue. U can try either of these

try this since winxp and win2000 are almost similar. The previous post might also help. U could also run a repair install which would remove sp2 but it would also remove sp1 and other updates if u donot have them on the repair install cd. Another easier option would be to run a system restore to a date before u installed SP2 on the comp. System restore might b an easier option.
