    Hi All

I've got a major problem with Windows XP. I need to install an activX control to continue with my development excpet the control is fairly old. I can't get any updates for it.

It thinks XP is Windows NT and therefore requires service pack 4 to be applied. As there is no service pack 4 for windows XP i'm pretty screwed unless i can trick XP to think its running service pack 4.

    ANY ONE KNOW HOW?
Its really really important to me and i'm sooooo stuck.

    Thank you

Right click the setup/installer or whatever, click properties. Find the compatibility tab, click it.
Than under "Compatibility Mode", tick "Run this program in compatibilty mode for..." Than on the drop down menu, find Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5.0
