    does anyone know how to get rid of desktop shortcut arrows in XP?

    There's a tweak to do it, but I can't remember. Maybe someone else can, but bet you would get luck with google if you tried hard enough.

    There is a registry key for it, but i dont remember it, but like kgburns suggested you could use Tweakui.
