The only programs that load at startup are:
1)zone alarm (now, mcafee virusscan and firewall, instead)

the rest are unchecked in msconfig.

I know i don't need cacheman to be running after the tweak, but i have it to display my available memory, sometimes i can tell when something is not normal when my memory goes down below normal levels...

I use the spam filter becuase i have 5 different email addys that i check with OE, and even though spammers have cut down, I still need it active. This program does not start when i start OE, so that's why i have it start at boot.

Office: I have afew shortcuts in the office toolbar, instead of having them on my desktop.

I don;t have any toolbars (other than office)active or installed on my pc.

Now... can i just delete the unwanted, un used stuff that appears in the hijack log file, using the hijack program? The log files displays some programs that I don't even have now.

I don't seee why not. The only thing that could be even remotely similar to vital would be some sort of startup drivers, but that's not the case. Go ahead and remove the other stuff.

I would highly suggest that you not run Office at startup as it takes up quite a bit of memory and processing time on its own.

If you want to display memory (RAM and paging file usage), just use Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del). It is much more in-depth than Cacheman and it won't take up processing time or memory at bootup and while you're using the computer.
