Default usb numberpad and Terminal Services

Here is an odd issue, we have some laptops that use terminal services (win 2k client and server), we had plugged in a usb numeric keypad. The keypad works fine on the local laptop, but to get it working on the terminal services screen, we have to turn on the numlock key, which makes some of the laptop buttons turn from letters to numbers, which is no good for the user... anyone know how to use a numeric keypad over terminal services without this bug?

thats an interesting problem. sometimes in a terminal services environment you may need to connect one of these usb nemeric keypads to the server once just so the drivers can install and after the drivers are on the server it may be able to work as you wish. but i suspect this may be something where a group policy may come in handy for these laptop users. the forums at thin world might be more helpful than here for this problem:
