Default Removing "Recent Documents" etc from start menu.

I'll keep it brief: how can I remove "Help & Support", "Recent Documents", and "Search" from my Start menu?

How can I put a shortcut to the Control Panel in the Start Menu, so I can remove Settings?

Do a Google search for TweakUI. This is a utility created by Microsoft (but not officially supported) that allows you to make many custimized settigns within the OS. After making the changes, it turns off and doesn't have to run in the background also.

or you could just open up Start>Run>gpedit.msc and enable/disable the appropriate settings

what if you boot into safe mode and log in as the true Administrator (in XP Home)? Is it still unavailable?

If I remember correctly, the gpedit command only exists in the Pro edition of WinXP.

Or you could be like me and just use the Pro version. It's all good.

I still plan on playing with Linux sometime soon though. I'll need the knowledge for the first Linux box we seize and I have to work the case.
