    Default Problems with Setup

Hi, I am having issues with setting up Windows XP Pro.

    Specs are as follows:
Gigabyte GA-8I848P-G (New since old mobo died)
512MB Kingmax DDR running on Dual Channel
    P4 1.6
Hercules 3D Prophet III (GeForce 3 Ti 500)
    2 x Seagate Barracuda 80GB

The problem is that I am unable to run windows setup. I am getting a range of errors but this one seems to be the most frequent, it is a bluescreen coming on just after the "Setup is starting windows" message.

    Technical details of message:

    STOP: 0x0000007E (0xc0000005, 0x808438F5, 0xF8988570, 0xF8988270)

Hopefully someone has had this problem before. Please help!

this to me sounds like a graphics issue, most problems at the install stage you mention are with video cards, there has been many problems with geforce 3 and below when trying to setup windows, do you have another card you can try instead? maybe onboard graphics?
