    Default formatting HDD with XP???

    hey guys!

    I've just taken out my old 60Gb drive and put it into my daughters pc as a slave but can't work out how to format it using XP Pro! it's also partitioned and still has XP loaded on it!
    64/3500+ | Gigabyte K8NS Ultra 939 | Gainy 6800 GS golden sample using 71.20 and DX 90c| 1Gb Geil PC3200 | WD 120Gb 7200rpm 8mb buffer | XP Pro + SP1 | Pioneer DVD burner dual layer | Antec 480 watt truepower wrapped in a Enermax 710B case | Dell 21" Trinitron.....etc

    Well, if it is already slaved and is being read by Windows, then you can just right click the drive in My Computer and choose the format option. Otherwise you can open up the disk management tools from Control Panel and either format and/or repartition the drive. If the drive is not being picked up by Windows, then you've got another problem to fix first.
