    First thing to try is to power down all peripherals that are not working and disconnect them. Reboot the machine and then try connecting them again. This will sometimes work but isn't a sure thing... it is at least a place to start though.

    @ Darthtanion

    I already did what you suggested by nothing happened.

    When you do this

    -right click on MY COMPUTER -> properties -> hardware -> device manager the screen is empty except from the menu above it.

    Maybe this will help. I also receive an error like this;

    DR. WATSOn POST MORE TEMP DEBUGGER
    HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS
    TO CLOSE.

    WE ARE SORRY FOR THE INCONVINIENCE

    Thanks for your reply

    What happens if you boot with the Dr. Watson service disabled?

    Basically Dr. Watson is a Windows app that's there to help with os/software problems but I don't have a lot of faith in it.

    I would suggest logging in using safe mode and seeing if any of the drivers appear in there if they do delete them all (for the periferals that is) and then restart. If you can do this then windows will normally prompt to reinstall them on the restart. If you cant then try:

    typing sfc /scannow in the Start->run

    This should scan check and reinstall any corrupted damaged or missing system files. you might be required to have the windows disc to if you dont have one try it anyway but it might not help.

    You could also try

    Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools -> System Information
    or
    Start->Run->msinfo32.exe->OK

    This will run msinfo32.exe This shows a history of device drivers on the computer and can be used to diagnose computer issues. The history is especially usefull in diagnosing exactly what has happened. It also contains links to other programs that might help with the problem.

    Another thing you might want to do if you have installed windows XP sp2 is that you might want to try moving your system back to before the update by removing the updates. XP still has many varying problems with many different systems and this might be one of them.
