    Seeing as you have done the SP2 update you'll need to have the SP2.exe and with a program like WinZip extract the files from it and burn them onto a CDR (you maybe able to get this to work from a folder on your hard drive but I've not tried it) as your original XP CD will not now have the updated files necessary to do that.

    Hello again!

    Sorry for the delay in my response but my past week existed of Work, Work and work!

    I tried all as you guys suggested and it seems that my problems are finally gone.... Except for 1 little anoying detail!
    When my virusscanner (TrendMicro Internet Security 2005) is doing a routine scan, my pc freezes everytime when the file C:\windows\sysbckup\ is scanned. What is this file and can I delete files in the sysbcup directory?
