    Default C: drive's gone!

Well, not exactly, but the icon in 'My computer' is missing.

I've got my main drive partitioned into two parts, C: and D:. A while ago, I got a virus or something, but I got rid of it. Only problem was that the C: drive icon got replaced by a Windows icon. (the white one with a windows logo on it). Then I figured I could fix it by rebuilding the icons in Tweak XP, but then the C: drive icon dissapeared altogether! I can still access the C drive, but still, it's a little annoying.

Another thing; I've got a second hard drive, on which I once installed Linux. Then I got bored with it, or rather ran out of space; I had it partitioned into two parts, one was in NTFS. Anyway, I wasn't sure how to get rid of Linux without reformatting the entire drive, and I was using GRUB to boot, so I disabled the boot manager in Linux (SUSE 9.1), and then I rebooted. When I started up Partition Magic (version 8) it said that there was something wrong with the MBR, so it fixed it. But in Partition Magic, the entire drive was BAD. It said the drive was BAD, and it was in yellow. I tried to reformat it, but it didn't work - it said "Error #4 Bad argument/parameter". What to do?!

I managed to fix the second issue, using the Windows repair console on the cd, but I guess the only way is to reformat :(. Oh, well..

try uninstalling your IDE drivers from device manager. When Windows restarts it should re-detect all your drives.

Well, I've got Windows on my C: drive. Won't that cause problems?

No, it won't. Windows has those drivers built in. It just forces Windows to find all your drives again.

Didn't help... I can still access it, though.
