    I want to play good old quake on this system
    but... it keeps comming up with something about XMS, cant read it 'cos it flashes so fast
    any ideas?

    you may need to load himem.sys and emm386.exe to enable XMS memory.

    two things you could do:

    1. Make an DOS boot disk, loading drivers for whatever you need. Involves a fair bit of stuffing around.

    2. Get the Windows version of Quake. Shouldn't need any old DOS mem types then. (as far as I know.. could be wrong)
