Thread: Problem booting up windows

  1. Default Problem booting up windows xp pro after installing chipset drivers (mup.sys)

I just installed a new motherboard into my system and everything is plugged and and working fine until i install drivers with my motherboard cd. and another problem happened when i was reinstalling windows, for some reason it decided to format another partition on my hard drive that i didn't select in the setup.

with the mobo cd problem (abit nf7-s2) the file that can't be loaded when windows tries to load is (windows\system32\drivers\mup.sys i'm not sure what to make of this as when i was installing everything else windows loaded fine, but once i installed drivers from the motherboard cd windows doesn't load

----this error happens after rebooting once the chipset driver bundle is installed----
