    Default Formatting new hard drive

I installed a new Maxtor 300GB drive in my computer. I have a Soyo P4X400 Mother board with 1024 MB ram. When I go to install Windows XP Pro it will only recognize 133GB to format The bios recognizes it as a 300GB Hard Drive.
Windows partitions the drive into two drives. C and E with the E drive as 157 GB drive. Is ther any way to get around this. I would like to have the full capacity of the C drive as 300GB.

Update to SP2. It fixes the size limitation issue in WinXP.
