oh nuts! i cant download it. i click on the browser download for the 64bit edition, and the download window comes up, and says that the file is about 3.52gb. then i download it and receive only a crappy 600kb iso file! is there a single download protection on the webpage or something? im doing it at school- i tested the download one day then brought my 40gb usb disk in to load it on to.

Update from me and my Vista adventures. New rig, new release. Vista RC1 works EXCELLENT for me. I think they have come a long long way with it. I feelsa snappier, looks SO much better and even my games run better under Vista. If driver support was a touch better, I'd erase XP off my system completely. I think I will be an early adopter myself.

Hey everyone I am currently running vista build 5728 (32 bit) version and I must say its pretty nice! It definitely loads faster then xp an I have to admit I do like it alot! I had the x64 version and its just too buggey and the 32-bit version is much better. Just curious, do you think vista would run on a 350mhz p4? Also what games that run on xp will run on vista? Its funny now you must have a half way decient pc to play solitare LOL

    I hope that ya meant a PII 350 and not a P4?

But anyway I'm runnin' the latest version of Ubuntu on a PII 350 w/ 256MB RAM and a 8GB HDD atm (setup yesterday).

BTW while Ubuntu isn't quite as quick and crisp as 98SE on this PC its certainly very much quicker than XP (Vista wouldn't have a hope of runnin' on this thing) though its certainly easier to setup and get runnin' than any windows I've yet met (plus most average windows users wouldn't get lost with it).

Well, my plans on going to Vista are dead and buried after reading the EULA and all the restrictions. DX-10 is not worth it and if it wasn't for gaming, I'd also run Linux. Personally, I have found Debian to work best for me, but alot of people are raving over Ubuntu. Either way, Uncle Bill can keep his latest incarnation for himself.

That could be as Ubuntu is based off Debian.
