    Default win xp problem

    At the start of xp pro it that the bar that indicates that its loading then later it turns to a black sreen few mins later it restarts, don't know what the problem is.

    I can go in safe mode and load up windows fine.

    Look in the Event Log and see if you can tell what is crashing to cause the problems. That should at least give you a direction to look in to fix it. Alternatively, you can simply scrap the current install and do a fresh one.

    It has quite alot of errors when im scrolling down it seems very slow.
    So you think i should reinstall win xp?

    if so could you give me some details on how to reinstall it? i've never done it before.

    A clean reinstall may be the best fix. Here: http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase...p_sg_clean.asp is a good step by step page if you decide to go that route. Be sure that you have read and understand what is required before you begin. If you don't have another computer with internet access at your location it may be best to print the instuctions beforehand. You should also attempt to get as much hardware info about your machine as you can and have the latest drivers for your motherboard, video, sound, modem/lan, etc burned to a disk beforehand. "Windows Update" offers drivers for most hardware but they often do not have the newest drivers. It can also be impossible to reach the "Windows Update" site if your modem/lan card is not properly recognized by Winows XP.

    sounds like its BSODing
    when in safe mode turn off the automatic reboot on sytem failure (under advanced tab in system properties
