I want to reformat my hard drive with winxp on it, but the process seems to have changed from when I had '98. I'd shut down into msdos, reformat c:, and then put my OS back on. Since you can't shut down to dos in XP, I'm not sure how to go about it. Disk manager won't let me format the partition I'm using. How can I wipe my disk with XP clean? Make a '98 boot disk?

    Thanks.

When you boot from your XP CD, it gives you the option then to format / partition your drives.. Also, it gives you the choice on whether to use NTFS or FAT32 on the drive..
