So I just got some new speakers, the ATP3's by altec lansing, and I have been wanting to jam out to them since I got them. BUT windows media in xp and practically every other media player gets seriously bogged down when playing mp3's or the windows media format files. I recently purchased an xp2000+, and I just can't see the need for 100% of the CPU being used to play a stupid song. I have the latest drivers from creative, as I have the soundblaster live 5.1 card. Anybody else run into this type of problem. Talk to me.

Checked for conficts, there are none. Says it is using IRQ 11. My sounblaster model is SB 0100 if that helps.

If you have 100% cpu usage then have a look at task manager to see what is pulling all your CPU time - it could be something else (example Klez.E virus)taking up your resources.
