    I have caried out hte tweaks by grim, but people still can not browse my computer on the network.
    It's a pain as well now i finally have a HD big enough to store extra stuff.

    check your ip address
    or like set it to 1.0.0.1 =P
    and check if someone on your network doesnt have the same logon name as well

    tried them already, i can see people fine, they can see me, not even i can browse my own shares!
    Saw something i'll try later at tweakXP to turnoff ieee 802.xx or something, can't fully rember but i'll know it when i see it.

    nope, i fixed the problem, in the authentication tab there is an option for "authenticate as guest when user or computer is unavaliable" i selected it and it worked so people at the lan could leach off me, now i have enouth hard-drive space to hold extra stuff (go back 6months and i had a 4.3gig)
