First go into the Device Manager and open up the sound card and remove each component, then go to the Control Panel and Add/Remove programs and remove all the SB software shown. Shut the PC down and disconnect it from the mains power then remove the card and install the new card.
Switch the PC back on and it will then find the new sound card. ;)

If your using Win2k/XP (May God have mercy on your soul if youre using 9x) goto the 'View' menu and click on 'Show hidden devices'
    then nuke em all. :shoot2:

If you run the sblive software (audiohq mainly) then make sure you quit out of it before removing any software/drivers otherwise itll screw things up.
Theres new drivers out too, as of 12th july in fact. Non Audigy boards only, and afaik 2k/xp drivers only, no 9x support.
