Where can i find a program that fixes my xp to NOT run the games at a lower refresh rate than the desktop?
Had it once before but can't remember where i've got it...

Use NVRefreshTool, it's the only one that I have found to work on the latest drivers. Not even NVHardPage.

    Download NVRefreshTool here:
    http://www.voodoofiles.com/6648

Just install it, run it. It automatically finds the refresh rates possible. Then hit Apply, and re-boot. All is good.

I think that one does not work with latest detonator drivers.
    Another is RefreshLock

Just done it myself but tried 4 different ones, on my WinME boot at moment so cant check :)
    Sure its above though

RivaTuner works with all the detonators up to 30.82.

Sorry, but NVRefreshTool does work. I'm using the 30.82's right now with it. And my refresh rate never goes below 85Hz.

The older refresh rate fixes may no longer work with the latest 40.41 Detonators (which btw are well worth installing!).

The best fix for the latest dets is ReForce which is a small utility you run once to fix the refresh rates permanently.

Thanks for the link. The site states that the software will also allow you to push plug & play monitors past 85. What happens when you do that?

Not sure what that means but it works perfectly on my 19" LG995E monitor, and at my desktop res of 1024x768x32 my refresh is 100Hz and I'm pretty sure my monitor is Plug and Play.

I think it's an old problem with some plug and play monitors. Just let ReForce auto populate your refresh rates for your monitor, have a quick look through them to see if they're the maximums supported by your monitor and everything should be fine :)
