my xp machine doesn't recognize my samba server (linux) and I am looking for a hack like there is for win-98.

does anyone know if the "Netlogon\Parameters\requiresignorseal
" value is the right one to change? if so, which of the 4 elements should be changed.

when i give the samba server the correct password when mapping a drive the return message is I have the wrong password. i have samba configured to receive plaintextpasswords. i can't seem to get samba configured to use encrypted so i am going the other route.

also try running secpol.msc from yer start->run... and check through those settings, there may be an option for it.
