I've just checked and my own "generated" keys are also exactly the same as the screenshot keys.

I open the key changer it gives me keys then it is supposed to open to a new menu where I can change my windows key but it never does it just takes me back to my desktop. Please help I want to install SP1. Any suggestions?

I am new to this forum. Does Cameron Wilmot visit this forum often? I would like him to elaborate a little on the cd keys and their origins.

OK, for all of you that are having trouble with the whole Keygen thing, there is a PROPER key generator here. This one generates random keys and then tests them for their validity.

Yes - you are absolutely right. Use the PROPER key generator and you'll have no problems. I've been using the "Devil's Own" release of XP Pro but with a key from this key gen -- and SP1 installed perfectly with no problems.

I was reading the Key Gen link ( http://www.trwxp.kit.net/xp_sp1.html ) and I noticed that it says you shouldn't used a key that begins with F or D since those might be blacklisted in SP1.

I'm using a key that starts with D and SP1 installed fine.

There are two certain keys, one starting with F, the other with D, that SP1 has blacklisted. That is what they were talking about. So if you generated a key, you should be fine...
