    Those reg settings also work after you have installed SP1 for those who cracked XP before SP! via the winlogon.exe.

    I know it works after SP1 casue i am using them now

    hey Not4U2c
    i try the "If you need to install sp1 on windows xp home/professional edition and if you have the winlogon crack replace it with its original version (if the 30 dayz are up, boot into safe mode.) Install Windows XP Sp1. Open notepad and paste this into it...

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents]
    "OOBETimer"=hex:ca,82,b8,55,d4,04,b5,cf,cc,5b,24,9 7

    and save it as a .reg file somewhere simple like C:\winactivation.reg

    (Save a copy of your original key just incase it goes wrong)

    Double click the reg file and enter it into the registry. To see it it went right type oobe/msoobe /a into the run box and it should say "windows has been activated". Now open notepad again and add this.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur
    rentVersion\Run]
    "WPA"="regedit.exe /s c:\\winactivation.reg"

    (c:\\winactivation.reg being where you saved the the reg file (don't forget if ure changing the directory use double slashes // instead of 1 / eg C:\ = C:\\)

    save the file as run.reg and open it.

    Use this website if u have Corp edition and u want to make a new winxp cd with built in sp1 (u can ignore it)

    Sp1 corp site
    END of Post from BB ____________<--

    Has any one done this ????????"

    it work at first but as so as u restart your PC and click on your Windwon Activiation it going back thne way it was. u have to activiation it

    You need to save the winactivation.reg to your C:/, and not in a folder.

    The run.reg tells windows to run the winactivation.reg from c:\ bypassing activation

    If you save it anywhere else you need to change the directory in (i've highlighted it in bold)
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur

    rentVersion\Run]
    "WPA"="regedit.exe /s c:\\winactivation.reg"

    I've tried this and have the same problem. It works until you reboot and then it goes back to the way it was before, saying it has to be activated. I do have both reg files in my c: root so thats not the problem.

    Dunno why i tried this but if you put both .reg files in the root of your drive (C: ect.) and then open the windows activation window, then run the two .reg files it should work.

    Dunno how it worked but i tried it before by just running the reg files and it worked until i rebooted, but when i did it with the activation window open it worked permanatly.
