    DL SP1 install OK.
    Now 30 day Activation is back .

    By the way, if you try to put the "WinXP.Activation.v1.1.English.exe " back again, Windows XP will block. Done it already!!!

    No fix so far on this end !

    I did find info on replaceing A file in SP1 and in WinXp--> uxtheme.dll (thats been rework ) . then aply sp1 to winXP by slipstream way, make dootable CD and install. But I need to find the rework file first.
    Also doing somthing with sfc_os.dll and sysoc.inf .
    As I find more info I will post.

    I seen this post on a BB ______ Per post -------->

    If you need to install sp1 on windows xp home/professional edition and if you have the winlogon crack replace it with its original version (if the 30 dayz are up, boot into safe mode.) Install Windows XP Sp1. Open notepad and paste this into it...

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents]
    "OOBETimer"=hex:ca,82,b8,55,d4,04,b5,cf,cc,5b,24,9 7

    and save it as a .reg file somewhere simple like C:\winactivation.reg

    (Save a copy of your original key just incase it goes wrong)

    Double click the reg file and enter it into the registry. To see it it went right type oobe/msoobe /a into the run box and it should say "windows has been activated". Now open notepad again and add this.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run]
    "WPA"="regedit.exe /s c:\\winactivation.reg"

    (c:\\winactivation.reg being where you saved the the reg file (don't forget if ure changing the directory use double slashes // instead of 1 / eg C:\ = C:\\)

    save the file as run.reg and open it.

    Use this website if u have Corp edition and u want to make a new winxp cd with built in sp1 (u can ignore it)

    Sp1 corp site
    END of Post from BB ____________<--

    Has any one done this ????????
