I went through the steps here http://www.labmice.net/WindowsXP/articles/changeID.htm

When it comes to the part where you run

    C:\Windows\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a

    nothing happens.

I even tried the CD key changer. It seems to work fine through the dos based part. but once that is complete nothing once again. Any suggestions?

if you have EVER tried to use windows update you may be locked out. If you did not delete ALL the blacklisted key entries from your registry you may be locked out.

I wound up doing a quick format and it installed and runs like a peach!!
