Easier to make an SP2 disc, and then install that.

How to make a Office xp servicepack2 full CD
1 - Put the Microsoft Office XP CD-ROM into the Drive (Not the SP1)

    2 - Create 2 Temporary Directory C:\Office and C:\Update

    3- Start/Run... type: X:\SETUP.EXE /a and click OK(where x indicates your hard disk drive)

4- Browse the Install Location and type the Product Key. Click next, accept the License Agreement and click Install

    5) The directory C:\Office should be like this:
it must have the following files in it.
    Files (directory)
    INSTMSI(exe)
    INSTMSIW(exe)
    SETUP(Exe)
    read me (html)
    autorun (ini)
    owc10
    proplus

6)Download the Office XP Service Pack2 Administrative update from Microsoft (50224 KB)

    http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...us/oxpsp2a.exe

7)Unpack the oxpsp2a.exe into the create directory C:\Update
    (it will contain 2 files)

    Start/Run... type:
    msiexec /p C:\Update\MAINSP2ff.msp /a C:\Office\PROPLUS.MSI SHORTFILENAMES=TRUE /qb
    and click OK

9)This is the new directory C:\Office containing the: Microsoft Office XP SP2 Full

10)burn it to a cd and To Install the "Microsoft Office XP SP2" click SETUP.EXE
now delete the C:\Update and burn the C:\Office

Note : NOTE: If you get an error about a missing COMDLG32.OCX file, run the 'runonce.bat' to fix it.
