    Default Dual system question

I have two hard drives which both had Windows 7 installed on them. I did a reformat on one and transferred all my program files to it. Now when I turn on the computer I still get a screen asking me to pick which operating system I want to boot from. As I now have only one operating system, is there any way to stop getting the screen asking to make a choice. I have gone in to bios and set the default boot option to the drive that still has windows and removed the other drive as a boot option.

    Welcome to the forum.

Go to Control Panel --> System --> Advanced System Settings --> Advanced tab --> Startup and Recovery

I think that you can remove the boot option that is no longer needed.

If this doesn't work, do a web search using: remove windows dual boot option where you will find helpful links.

The most useful link is probably how to disable dual boot Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums
