    Hey peeepps,

I'm running Xp for a week or 2, but the last couple of days i'm getting a lot of Explorer errors. It's kinda strange because he refers to a *.txt file. The file name is Appcombat.txt
It is in my 'Documents and Settings" in the Temp directory...

Does any had this or is there someone with a Solution?
    Thnx in advance

Have you tried going to that directory and reading the text file? If it has something useful, then give us a yell. But I think it might be time to do a full system scan for any possible virus/worm infections.

When you re-installed, what keyboard layout did you select, and what one did you have before?

Uhh... I've never chosen a keyboard layout..
With the previous install I didn't have any keyboard probs...
Didn't even know that it was possible...

Is that selectable after a windows installation?

    thnx 4 your time ;)

I'm not up on the XP flavor of Windows, but as getting a new keyboard does not entail a fresh install of Windows, I'm sure it can be configured.

In previous versions I'd have suggested going into the "Control Panel" ---- "Keyboard"
So whatever the XP equivalent of that might be, check there.

Sorry I'm not more helpful but hopefully that will steer you in the right direction. Might check in "Help" for more info too.

I reckon the install simply misidentified the keyboard for some reason?

If all that doesn't for some strange reason produce the desired results, there's always keyboard mapping as a last resort.
