    A fine Question!

    First you need to surf to;
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...ad/default.asp

    Once your there, in the uppermost drop-down box labeled "select download:" choose the "Windows Media Player Bonus Pack" option.

    This should take you to a page where you can DL the bonus pack for either WMP 7.1 or XP, choose the proper one and get it.

    Once installed, it has a clear MRU function that will take care of the annoyance. That is a part of the Power Toys included in the package.

    "Discretion is the better part of valor" :laugh:

    Definitely a market for Power Toys there!

    I'd give proper credit for that quote if I had any clue who said it?

    Isn't the information of the previous files you've opened in Windows Media retained inside a hidden sector of the hard drive anyways?

    M$ has certainly made use of hidden files, yes.
    But clearing the MRU will keep the "less able" prying eyes at bay.

    Good point though, computers certainly don't hide secrets any better than I do:D
