I used the little update package to change the key, and was able to download the sp1 update directly from microsoft.

However, after a reboot, I was graced with this message on all accounts after logging in.

"A problem is preventing Windows from accurately displaying a license for this computer. Error 0x8007007F"

The only way I can get into the computer is via Safe Mode (not Networking), and I have access into the Registry, but what am I looking for?

I can't use the key changer program because it says I can't run activation in safe mode.

    Pleeeeeeezzzeee help.

Can I change a key like say

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents

to a number that will get me past it?

I guess I'm going to have to reinstall, thanks anyway.

    While I wanted sp1, I can't afford the computer's inoperability.
