Im currently running 98SE, and am considering updating to XP, but was wondering since im new to XP....

1)will it make any difference in my games like Counter-Strike and Quake2?

2)Is there anyway i can get around the activation?

3)Is it even worth doing or will SE be better suited for my computer, which specs are

    Via C3 550Mhz CPU
    192mbs RAM
    Geforce2 32mb PCI video card
    Cable connection
    (its a dinosaur, i know)

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

For your PC even though not impossible you'd be better off stickin' with SE as the performance hit even when set for best performance will be more than noticable (I tried it on the Workshop PC linked in my sig). But if ya do go ahead be sure to run the compatibilty test on the XP CD first. : peace2:

If ya havin' probs after installing SE then read this and then do this on a clean install before loading any drivers then the 4in1's (the latest are the best), video and anyother required drivers after that in that order. ;)

This guide should also be of great help with some other things that may also help ya. :devil win
