How do I view Chinese or other Asian Languages on programs for Windows XP?

Do I need a seperate language viewer or are there some components in XP where I install to make viewing Chinese characters possible?

I checked "Install files for East Asian languages" under "Reginoal and Language Options.... but that doesn't seem to work.

    Thanks for any help :D

The Asian language support you added during the initial install is for Windows only. Your other applications will need to have the Asian support built in from the company responsible for it.

Since you mention ICQ in particular, get with the ICQ support folks and see if they have some sort of patch that you can install to get the added language support that you're looking for.

Just being specific to ICQ. ICQ provides a chinese version...you gotta download that if you want the language. It holds true for all...
