    tell us more detail lah, at least tell people what operating system u r. :smokin:

    for personal opinion, it happen to 98se only.:hammer:

    if u have winxp, u should plus sp1 ASAP.
    otherwise, it might cause by the applications u had installed

    it seens like u r doing ur document, computer will restart itself suddenly, right?

    Thats a classic sign of a bad power supply. or maybee you have a virus or torjan

    or may be some heat troubles or HD with bad sectors...bad memory....
    tons of reasons...give us some errors and details and as far as i remember there is another thread of same kind already there on the forum. did u start that one too? if you didn't then try searching for it cos there is quite lot of help on that one by wiggo, mr. c, PI and all.

    You gotta analyze whether the probs is related to hardware or related to OS...if its related to hardware then reformatting won't get you anywhere.
    You gotta know what is happening inside that box before you think about reformatting.
