Don't be going all sensitive on us - Apple is the only one that wants you to switch:wow:

In response to the tweaker i had about 360 mgs or ram on a jetway motherboard that caused me no problems. What i couldn't stand were the constant blue screens the error messages and the down right unstability of the OS. Windows Me was a bit better and i loved 2000. Xp was the natural progression and the best OS made yet no contest.

most people know that WinME is crap so if you think it's better then I'm willing to bet that you were doing something wrong with 98se

"In response to the tweaker i had about 360 mgs or ram on a jetway motherboard that caused me no problems" Ah I can see the prob ya had and that was mainly the memory. More than 256MB and mixed modules as well is not good for stable operation of a 9x os in most cases and that elcheapo mobo probably added it the prob as well. ;)

That may be true as i had a 64mg module and a 256 so it might have been that. Pretty unstable with just 64 as well.

Well blame it the cheap-as-**** mobo then (or poor setup) as the os wasn't at fault. :p

I suggest you all go here Http://grc.com and you will see just how secure your xp machine are:flames: and you can also run a security check on your machine with shields up and read some denial of service and see how they did it and other cool things. Really is worth checking out.
