if u mean to upgrade the actual windows CD this is impossible as the CD is pressed so u cannot write on it, what u can do is copy the installation files form what ever u need onto a blank cd then just use that as install along with the original cd. There are ways of upgrading certin things on the Cd but then u would have to make another copy of the original.... with that you would have to replace a few dozen files and its not guaranteed to work

You can integrate the service packs and some of the hotfixes in to a new bootable install. Instructions for Windows 2000 can be found here but are easily modified for WinXP.

I understand it, that i can apply SP1 to bootable cd, but Directx and Wms 9 is also Microsoft products so I think there must be a way to make bootable cd with Directx 9 and Wms 9.

Well yeah integrating or in other words slip-streaming a "Service Pack" or "Hotfixes" with WinXP or any other Windows version for that matter is quite simple but i cdn't find any ways to add WMP9 and DirectX 9.0 to your new CD.
Bink (the author of the site zetter linked to) was planning to write a guide for doing such a thing but he has not come out with it yet.
If he knows a way to do this thing, then there must be a way out, its just that we don't know yet. Keep looking everyone, we might find a new thing....:thumb:
