i changed my res to 640X480 and the screen started to flicker (out of range). couldnīt see a sh*t and eg not fix it.

anybody know where in win98se the info about res is stored?
in what or which files? have tried rightclicking on desktop in
safe mode but res is fixed to 640X480...

(fixed it be restoring sysfiles thru my network. but want to know anyway)

i simply didn't understand what you want to know!

if you are saying that you cdn't change your screen resolution in safe mode...then you can't do so cos safe mode starts with the least number of drivers required and your graphics card driver is certainlty one of them. so if there is no graphics card driver in safe mode, then there is no enhancement in screen res above 640x480.
