Ok even after emptying my recycling bin it always shows it as having stuff in it, anyone know how to fix this annoying little problem? This has never happened before.

Are you using something like Norton Utilities that has a protected recycle bin? Changed any icon settings?

I use NAV2003 and it protects the recycle bin, yet it doesnt show full unless it is. Only thing I can think of is someone changed the icon

Well I have the view hidden files option set so if so they should show up (they should be deleted anyhow). I didn't change anything it just started doing this.

If you right click on the desktop, choose the Effects tab, and look at the icon for "Recycle Bin (empty)" does it look like the full icon? If so, click on it and click on "Default Icon". This might only work on 2000/XP though. Give it a shot!

I already checked that out and the icon has an empty trash can set for it. I can't figure out what it is.
