I posted this in Abit's web site and there were many responses. So I want to post it here as well. I went to Microsofts update site and found 2 new critical updates They were for SP 2. So those that are looking for beta or "floating aound" copies on the internet you might think twice.

I downloaded and installed the updates and when I went into Outlook Express, parts of the GUI were missing and things went wierder from there. Links that used to work, didn't... and things really slowed down. It appears there is a bug in that critical update. You can read more about it here.. http://www.neowin.net/

Bottom line is that I had some replies back that thought their BIOS was giving them fits, and others thought their moterboards were going strange.. when it was this new "critical update".

I wish Microsoft would test these things out a bit more thorough before they just post them on their site!!

    This is for you guys!!:D

^^I think this is what you are talking about. Patch 811493 is the culprit. Removing it can solve the porblem. Although, i have this patch installed and it is not causing me any problems.
I've gone too far and need to move on!
