Well I recived a P2 350 mhz machine today, I teared of the cover and started to vaccum out about a ton of dust outta it. Then I removed an old 56k pci modem and tossed in an Intel networking card. Then I replaced the slot1 fan cause it had died..

I installed win xp pro and sp1 and the machine was kind of slow and not funny due to it's low amounts of memory, only 64 mb. But then I rememberd some sticks in an old drawer which I stuck in the slots, now I'm running 320 mb of sdram and the machine is not slow at all. I never thought XP was so low demanding on cpu speed. 350 mhz and it loads IE 6 etc almost as fast as my P4 and amd xp, it's really no big difference.. Another thumbs up for xp, as long as you have enough memory you can run it on most things..

I've got XP running on a p3 550 mhz with 448 MB sdram. It runs just fine, but I prefer the way it runs on my 2100+ :thumb:
